Job Details

Support and lead on the delivery of the Outdoor Education Fife programme across Fife and the wider community. You will work alongside outdoor education instructors and group leaders assisting with schools, youth groups and public activity courses.

Provide logistical support such as boat driving, cleaning, repairs and issue of equipment from stores.

There is an expectation that part of this role will include elements of further training relevant to the role and as an agreed part of a development plan.

The Person

If you meet the essential qualification criteria below, we would like to hear from you:

One relevant NGB or equivalent experience in paddle sports (BCU Paddle sports leader) or mountain biking (Mountain Bike leader).

Experience of working with a wide cross section of people (voluntary or paid).

You should be literate and willing to embrace technology and information to support aspects of the work. Experience carrying out bicycle repairs and maintenance work would be extremely advantageous.

You should have the ability to follow complex instructions, stay calm and work well under pressure and deal with confrontation. You will need to use your initiative as and when required.

This post involves a significant amount of evening and weekend work on a rota basis.

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
