Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Grade E, Point 11- 17 (£28,142 - £31,022 pro-rata)
Hours: 35 hours/week (6.30am 9.30am & 1.30pm 5.30pm) Term time

(Compressed hours during school holiday periods if desired)


Monday-Friday all year round

The Governors of St Stephen and All Martyrs’ Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person who would like to provide a key role in maintaining our school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be capable of working under their own initiative and have proven time and priority management skills
  • Be responsible for locking and unlocking the school
  • Be required to act as a key holder
  • Be able to carry out security checks on the buildings and site
  • Carry out and record statutory checks and help maintain Health and Safety records
  • Have a willingness to attend training courses including those linked with Health and Safety
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs during the school day and during the school holidays; basic joinery, plumbing, painting and decorating skills would be an advantage
  • Be able to take annual holidays during the school holidays
  • Previous experience of the specific role not necessary, as training will be provided
