Summary

At West Northamptonshire Council, we’re looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of high quality, value for money services. This is an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking central procurement and finance team, where you’ll provide expert advice and deliver end to end procurement services that directly support our ambitious corporate plan and strategic objectives.

What will you be doing?

As a key member of our People and Resources Business Partner Team you will be;

  • A trusted adviser to key service stakeholders, influencing decisions and supporting major programmes across Council services. 
  • Support the delivery of a complex and varied procurement pipeline, balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery, supporting the Council to deliver its strategic objectives. 
  • Delivering effective and robust governance , compliance, and risk management incorporating the latest changes in policy and legislation.  
  • Drive process development, including opportunities to innovate and add value. 
  • Champion our business partner model, raising the profile of procurement and ensuring best practice is consistently applied across the organisation.
About you

If you are an experienced procurement manager with extensive public sector procurement knowledge and expertise , strong commercial acumen, and the ability to build and develop relationships with key stakeholders, we want to hear from you.
