What is the job role?

The Governors of Wyken Croft Primary School are excited to offer a part-time play worker role within our successful Phoenix Club. The club is an established before and after school facility providing high-quality care for our children. We currently operate both morning and afternoon sessions daily and operate during the school holidays. We are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.

This post is 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3.00 pm - 5.00 pm.



Who are we looking for?

You will need to:

  • Have a good understanding of what makes good quality childcare.
  • Have a level 2 qualification or higher in childcare or be working towards this qualification
  • Have the ability to create and maintain excellent levels of behaviour
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have excellent teamwork skills
  • Have the ability to provide creative play opportunities both inside and outside.

In addition, you will also need to:

  • Be able to set up the equipment daily
  • Be able to put equipment away at the end of each session
  • Be proactive in ensuring the club has a clean and tidy environment
  • Be able to work both outside and inside.
