About this Opportunity
This role is an eight month fixed term contract position within the Lending Reconciliations team in Accounting Operations within GFS.
Group Finance Support (GFS) is a large team within the Finance Division with responsibility for the core platforms, processes, financial reporting and controls. It also supports the function through provision of Chief Operating Office responsibilities, People & Culture initiatives, Systems capabilities, Divisional Resilience & Security and Strategy implementation.
The role would suit a motivated teammate who can work as part of a large team, and on own initiative. It's also a great opportunity to gain experience in a shared service centre, giving you wide experience within other areas of Finance to aid progression.
About the role.
Undertake a range of medium complexity finance and accounting tasks and processes e.g. data extraction, reconciliation, journal creation, payment approvals. Ensure reconciliations are robust, complete and within deadlines. You'll need to understand the detail behind the recs to support the team with process and documentation improvements. You'll also work with the wider team to ensure best practice for reconciliations.

* Ability to work closely with immediate team and collaborate with the wider team to share best practice
