Summary
St Lawrence School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This role involves working with pupils across all year groups who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them to access learning and thrive in our inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with EHCPs across a range of subjects and year groups
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans
Foster a positive, nurturing environment that supports emotional and academic development
Assist with classroom activities, small group work, and one-to-one support
Promote independence and confidence in pupils with additional needs
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic
Can work flexibly across different age groups and learning needs
Is a team player with good communication skills
