The college is seeking to appoint quality and academic standards support officer. This role may suit a recent graduate with experience working across a sabbatical Student Union function or a highly experienced administrator from within HE or FE.
This is a key role with the college Quality and Academic standards team and involves working closely with the Assistant Principal but operating with a degree of autonomy within the team’s wide remit to help oversee key deliverables for the area and the wider college.
The successful candidate will have excellent spoken and written English skills and a wide range of experience dealing with students, parents and internal and external stakeholder enquiries.
Experience of accurate and detailed minute taking is essential as the role is instrumental in supervision of committee set-up and operations.
Reporting to the Assistant Principal, but also working alongside the Assistant Director for Quality and Head of Teacher Development, the role is multi-faceted also supporting on a range of logistical and planning matters for the team and with the wider college including diary operations with all college senior and curriculum middle managers and the executive support team.
Contact with external stakeholders including parents, awarding organisations and regulatory organisations such as Ofsted and the OfS is the norm and professionalism and courtesy when under pressure to meet key deadlines are vital to perform the duties of the role successfully. Day-to-day contact with students and academic staff is inevitable and the post holder should be comfortable in dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders face to face or online.
Excellent IT skills in MS Office including Excel spreadsheets are non-negotiable.
