About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to play a critical role in delivering safe, effective, and compliant engineering services across a diverse estate. This is a mobile position requiring autonomy and technical authority across multiple sites within a large geographic region.You will act as an Appointed Person for key technical disciplines, including electrical, HVAC, and water systems, ensuring the rigorous application of safe systems of work and compliance with statutory and organisational standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain safe systems of work in line with JSP 375 and MOD standards.
  • Act as technical authority for electrical and mechanical systems, issuing permits and overseeing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Assess the competence of skilled Persons and ensure appropriate appointments.
  • Provide technical advice and support to internal teams, supply chain partners, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to project planning, maintenance delivery, and compliance improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve equipment defects, review risk registers, and reduce corrective actions within agreed timeframes.
  • Support carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings and maintain strong working relationships across the estate.

What You'll Bring

  • Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (AP tickets in Electrical or Mechanical desirable; training provided if required).
  • Significant experience with Safe Systems of Work, particularly JSP 375.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
  • Experience supervising site operations and managing resources.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel extensively across the region.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rota and overtime as required.
