Summary

A Vacancy at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Fellow to join the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at St Michael’s Hospital, part of the University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust. Both posts include full shift on-call rota (3rd on call), including Obstetrics and Emergency Gynaecology cover. This means all applicants should be ready to start ST6 at the time of the post commencing.

The post-holder would have the opportunity to join the team and have protected special-interest sessions in one of the following areas:



· Medical education

The resident will work closely with the University of Bristol Reproductive Health and Care of the Newborn (RHCN) lead Dr Melanie Griffin, and will take an active part in the planning, development and assessment of undergraduate education in obstetrics and gynaecology.

· Leadership & management / Obstetric patient safety / clinical governance

The resident will work closely with Dr Sneha Basude, obstetric lead and LMNS obstetric lead and/or Dr Clare Shakespeare, maternity patient safety lead.

· Gynecological oncology with focus on cancer diagnostics and colposcopy



The resident would be working closely with Miss Laura Coleman (cancer diagnostic lead) and/or Mr Jonathan Frost (colposcopy lead).



· Endometriosis and PAG

The resident would work closely with Mr Oliver O'Donovan and Miss Naomi Crouch continuing the previous work of the clinical fellow in developing our adolescent endometriosis service.
