Full job description
Arising Care is recruiting for young people residential support workers for their supported accommodation in Coventry. The home is registered for 2 young people leaving care. Who may have attachment issues, complex needs and challenging behaviour.
We provide each young person with a safe, supportive, trusting environment with challenges that promote growth, responsibility, learning and positive outcomes and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the young people in our care. We provide personal care to ensure we meet all of the needs of our young people.
We use the PACE model of therapeutic care. We also have an experienced management team to support the staff team and young people.
Shift patterns:
• Long days - 07.00-19.00
• Sleep ins are a requirement and are paid at £73.00 per night
• Night 19:00-07:00
The role is for full-time hours and will require flexibility to work across days, sleep ins and waking night shift when required.
You will support the young people with daily activities and with independent supported living. You will use a person-centred approach and use effective communication skills to motivate and understand the service user.
Candidates should preferably hold their NVQ level 3 in residential children's care and or be willing to work towards this
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent,
Salary: £12.25 unqualified to £13.50 per hour for those level 3 qualified.
Full-time hours: 40 per week
