Summary
Personal Assistant required for a happy and active 10-year-old girl who lives in the Gunnislake area.
She has ADHD and is on the pathway for an ASD diagnosis. She would like someone who she can build up a positive relationship with and provide her with some 1:1 support.
She would like someone to support her with her communication and social skills out in the community. She loves being active outdoors, whatever the weather. Her interests include scooter and bike riding, rugby, football and beach and moors visits. She is also a keen gamer!
A personal assistant will enable her to enjoy activities in her local community gaining independence away from her family.
Good rate of pay at £12.60 per hour. (plus, mileage allowance)
5 hours per week are available, although this is very flexible. Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
Car driver preferred with business class insurance.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
