About the role

We are currently recruiting for an expanding business who are looking for an E commerce Developer & Digital Marketing Specialist to own and grow its online sales channels. You will manage and improve the company website, SEO, PPC and online marketplaces (Amazon and eBay), turning traffic into profitable, repeat business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who also understands performance marketing and marketplaces and wants clear responsibility for delivering measurable commercial results.

Key responsibilities

Website & e commerce
• Manage, maintain and improve the company website, ensuring it is fast, secure and easy to buy from.
• Upload and manage product listings, pricing, descriptions and images, keeping all ranges accurate and stock flow up to date.
• Implement basic UX and conversion rate optimisation best practice (navigation, filters, checkout flow) to increase conversion rate / average order value.

SEO & content
• Plan and deliver on page and technical SEO across key categories and products, based on keyword research relevant to customers.
• Fix technical SEO issues (crawling, indexing, internal linking, site speed) and support ethical link building activity.
• Create and optimise product, category and blog content that supports rankings, communicates credentials and drives qualified traffic.
• Monitor SEO performance and report on organic traffic, rankings and revenue contribution, with clear suggestive actions for improvement.

PPC & paid media
• Plan, build and manage Google Ads and Google Shopping campaigns, plus other paid channels if relevant.
• Optimise targeting, budgets, bids and ad creative to maximise return on ad spend (ROAS / ROI) and hit agreed cost per acquisition (CPA) targets.
• Track and report performance weekly and monthly, highlighting wins, issues and next steps.

Marketplaces (Amazon & eBay)
• Manage and optimise Amazon and eBay stores, including product listings, categories, pricing and promotions.
• Ensure listings are accurate, compliant and aligned with brand, product specifications and industry regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, reviews and sales trends, proposing actions to grow sales and protect ratings.

Analytics & collaboration
• Use GA4, Search Console, Google Ads and marketplace dashboards to measure performance and guide decisions.
• Provide clear, regular reporting on traffic, sales, ROAS and key KPIs to management.
• Work closely with sales, operations and customer service to align campaigns with stock, capacity and customer needs.

Skills and experience

Required
• Commercial experience managing an e commerce website (e.g. Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or similar CMS/platform).
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices with optimisation experience.
• Demonstrate running Google Ads and Google Shopping campaigns.
• Experience managing Amazon and/or eBay seller accounts.
• Ability to write clear, accurate and engaging product and blog content.
• Basic web development skills (HTML/CSS and CMS admin).
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, comfortable working with data and reports.

Desirable
• Experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager and Search Console.
• Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and A/B testing.
• Knowledge of product feed management and structured data for e commerce.
• Experience in packaging, print, FMCG or related B2B/B2C sectors.
