Summary

37 hours per week

Temporary Maternity Cover - 12 Months

We are seeking to recruit a confident and effective Housing Group Support Officer with clerical and administrative experience to join the Housing Solutions team; delivering comprehensive administrative support for all the day-to-day activities as follows, but not limited to;

Administer entries and exits from emergency accommodation

Produce and monitor invoices for income from agencies and housing applicants

Reconciliation of Housing Benefit underpayments/overpayments

Arrange for storage of belongings

Process and distribute post

Answer telephone calls, emails and correspondence from customers/partners/agencies

Arrange for property repairs and replacement

Arrange/administer meetings

You will have methodical and organised ways of working, and the ability to plan and prioritise your workload. You will be competent in the use of general, financial and data systems.

You will also need to demonstrate experience of working with partner agencies to deliver support to vulnerable clients.

To be successful in this role, you will be a good problem solver who is able to work assertively but sensitively and also be a good team player.

Working as part of a busy team you will need to work well under pressure and on your own. You will be a fast learner, showing initiative and a problem solving approach to your work.

You will have excellent communication skills and a positive approach to your work.
