Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef specialising in Scottish cuisine to prepare high-quality, traditional, and modern Scottish dishes. The role focuses on delivering authentic flavours, maintaining excellent food standards, and enhancing the overall dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook traditional and contemporary Scottish dishes to a high standard
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
Maintain strict compliance with food hygiene, health & safety regulations
Assist in menu planning, seasonal specials, and local produce sourcing
Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste
Supervise and support kitchen staff where required
Ensure kitchen cleanliness and efficient workflow at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef specialising in Scottish cuisine
Strong knowledge of local Scottish ingredients and traditional cooking methods
Understanding of UK food safety and hygiene regulations
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
