We’re seeking a Planning and Performance Manager to lead on shaping and monitoring our corporate plans, strategic deliverables, and performance reporting. You’ll manage key tools like the Strategic Tracker, ensure high-quality reporting for senior boards, and collaborate with stakeholders to support business change. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on detail, enjoys influencing outcomes, and wants to make a real impact on organisational success.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

• Ensure that the directorate plans align with the strategic direction of the agency, any relevant Government Reviews and consultations and DVSA business plan requirements.
• Work with directorate planners and service owners to review current and future content and delivery of plans.
• Work with directorate planners and service owners to prioritise key deliverables for current and future years ensuring that the resource dependencies are identified.
• Work with directors, senior managers and planners to prioritise and agree directorate plan content.
• Work with the communications team to ensure timely and appropriate publication of plans.

• Support the measure design and development process as appropriate, particularly with respect to strategic plans and vision.
• Design and develop the Corporate, Directorate and operational performance framework, targets and measures.
• Ensure effective performance reporting is available to Senior managers, including the Executive committee and DfT, ensuring that the content and level of detail is appropriate to the audience and has appropriate sign off.
• Lead the continuous review of performance reporting to improve reporting processes and products to ensure efficiency,
