Summary
Overview
We are looking for a Forklift Driver and General Operative to join our busy bagging plant. This is a rotating role where operatives move between forklift operation, hopper work, bagged products and general production tasks throughout the day.
The role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic and a willingness to support production wherever required. Overtime is required during busy periods and is paid at an enhanced rate. Work may be across either of our two local sites.
Responsibilities
• Operating a forklift to move materials and finished products
• Placing bulk bags onto hoppers as part of the production process
• Loading empty trailers and supporting vehicle movements on site
• Bagged products and associated production tasks
• Rotating between forklift, hopper and general operative duties throughout the day
• Working across either of our two sites as required
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
• Following all site health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
• Proven forklift driving experience
• Forklift licence not required as training will be provided
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Flexible approach to duties, sites and working hours
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Reliable attendance and good timekeeping
• Physically capable of working in an industrial environment
• Able to work as part of a team and independently when required
