About the role: SEND Job CoachActivate Learning is seeking a dedicated, organised, and learner-focused Work Experience Job Coach (SEND) to join our team at Reading College.This role is central to supporting SEND learners aged 16-25 to develop employability skills and access meaningful, well-matched work experience aligned with their individual strengths, needs, and career aspirations.Working closely with teaching staff, support teams, and employers, you will support learners throughout the entire placement journey - from preparation and placement set-up to on-site support, progress monitoring, and review. Your work will help learners build confidence, independence, and real-world skills, supporting successful transitions into adulthood and employment.As a Job Coach, you’ll play a vital role in helping students of all abilities develop key employability skills through active participation in work experience placements. Working closely with the Work Experience Coordinator , you’ll ensure the smooth daily operation of these work experience placements. Flexibility is key, as you may be required to support across multiple work experience placements.In addition to delivering practical coaching, you will monitor student progress, assess performance, and guide learners in achieving their individual goals and learning outcomes.This is a fixed-term, part-time role working 28 hours per week during term-time (0.64 FTE) based at our Reading College.
