About the role
Pay Details: Youth & Community Support Worker Range - Pt15 £33,869 per annum (£17.60 per hour)
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Temporary to 31st March 2027. This is a full-time position consisting of 37 hours per week, 52 weeks. The successful candidate will work their hours between 8:30am to 8:30pm, consisting of daytime and evening work and occasional weekend working. This will be undertaken flexibly through working hours.
Main Place of Work: Office based at the Civic Offices, Barry, but working throughout the Vale of Glamorgan.
Temporary Reason: This is a temporary employment due to grant funding.

Description:
The Youth Voice Lead Worker will liaise with the wider Youth Service, Democratic Services and our partners to develop and lead in the implementation of a new Youth Service Participation Strategy. Along side this, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading on new and existing youth voices projects covering the Vale of Glamorgan. This service is managed by the Vale Youth Service and is situated in the Learning and Skills department. About you
You will need:

Experience of face-to-face work with young people in a variety of settings.
Experience of delivering training and accredited outcomes
Experience of recording outcomes and report writing
Knowledge of the National Participation Standards and the UNCRC (United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child).
Ability to relate to, supervise and form positive relationships with colleagues and young people.
Ability to use own initiative and work with minimum supervision.
