About the RoleI’m a woman with a combination of physical and neurodivergent needs, including muscular dystrophy, which means my mobility, energy, and capacity can fluctuate.I am looking for a calm, reliable Personal Assistant to provide practical, low-pressure support that helps me maintain my independence at home and in the community. Some days are quieter or slower, and that is okay.Hours / Working Pattern
- 11 hours per week
- Hours are flexible and will be agreed together
- Support is mainly during weekday daytime hours
- Likely to suit someone looking to work around school hours, though flexibility is possible
- Supporting the development of executive functioning (planning, organisation, routines)
- Using initiative and judgement while respecting agreed routines and boundaries
- Practical support on days when mobility or fatigue is increased
- Assistance with daily tasks, admin, paperwork, and correspondence
- Support to attend appointments or access the community
- Light household tasks such as meal preparation and laundry
- Calm, reassuring support during periods of anxiety or overwhelm
- Support with organising prescribed medication into a weekly dosage box and providing reminders (no administration)
- Practical and organisational support that enables me in my parenting role (this is not childcare)
- Kind, patient, and reliable
- Good communication and listening skills
- Calm, non-judgemental approach
- Able to use initiative while respecting autonomy
- Comfortable supporting fluctuating mobility and capacity
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Experience in a PA, support, or caring role
- Understanding of physical disability or neurodivergence
- Lived experience of disability, neurodivergence, or caring (e.g. parent-carer) welcomed
- Driver with access to a car
