Your New Company

A global manufacturing organisation with a strong reputation for innovation and technical excellence is seeking an experienced HR Assistant (Generalist) to provide essential support to their HR function.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, out-going professional who is confident and has strong people skills, who is able to communicate with staff at all levels. The organisation has a down‑to‑earth culture and a supportive team within a well‑established, people‑focused environment.

Your New Role

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will provide hands‑on HR administrative support during a period of planned absence within the team. This is a varied and busy generalist role where you will be involved in:

  • Coordinating absence review meetings
  • Preparing documentation for disciplinary processes, including invite letters and note-taking in meetings
  • Taking notes in formal meetings when required
  • Assisting with recruitment activity - CV screening, interview coordination, and supporting hiring managers
  • Preparing induction packs and supporting with new starter onboarding and inductions.
  • Providing day‑to‑day assistance support to the Head of HR.
  • Using Workday to maintain accurate employee records.
  • Supporting payroll administration, working closely with the payroll team.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous HR administration experience - essential.
  • Confidence in speaking with employees at all levels.
  • A proactive, down‑to‑earth approach and the ability to "hold your own".
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment (highly desirable).
