Start date: Summer Term 1 Monday 20th April 2026

Hours: 3.5 or 4 days per week (negotiable)
25 to 28 hours per week
Monday Thursday working hours.
Term Time only

Scale: Grade E - SCP 11
Actual Salary: 25 hours per week - £15,899 - £17,526 or 28 hours per week - £17,807 - £19,629

The Governors at St Thomas CofE Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable Senior Clerical Assistant to join our small office team.

The successful candidate will be based in our busy school office, meeting and greeting parents and visitors to our school.

We are a one form entry school that includes a Nursery Unit.

A professional and responsive manner is required for this exciting role, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Prospective candidates need to have:

Previous experience of working in a school office environment. This experience should include financial management administration.
Knowledge of working with school office software such as Bromcom and School Money (or similar)
The ability to work independently and as part of an effective team.
Skills to ensure workload is prioritised and an adaptable approach is shown to each working day.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with a positive approach to working effectively with all members of our school community.
The ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines as necessary.
An ability to contribute to all aspects of school life.
The passion to uphold the Ethos and Values of our Church school.
