Your role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced teacher to support schools to improve outcomes and inclusion for Ethnic Minority, Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and Showman pupils. The role involves providing specialist assessment of pupils’ learning and English as an Additional language (EAL) needs, training school staff to implement effective strategies and ensure inclusive practice and managing the teaching and learning staff within the team. You will contribute to the borough-wide education strategy and champion high-quality education and inclusion for one of our most vulnerable groups of children, ensuring they are supported to achieve their full potential.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with a deep understanding of inclusive education, particularly for Ethnic Minority, Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and Showman pupils. They will have excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with schools, families, and partner agencies. Flexibility is essential, as the role involves strategic planning, specialist EAL assessment and training delivery, and travel across the borough. A passion for equity, cultural competence, and the ability to inspire and support a specialist team are key to success in this role.
