MadiganGill is a leading recruitment agency specialising in the construction and engineering sectors. We are currently looking for an experienced Groundworker to join a major project in Didcot, Oxford, starting at the beginning of February. This role is initially a 6-month contract, with the potential for the project to extend for up to 3 years due to different phases.

Key Responsibilities:-
Perform all aspects of groundworks, including excavation, drainage, kerbing, concreting, and paving.

Dig and level trenches, lay foundations, and ensure all groundwork is completed according to the project's specifications.

Install and maintain drainage systems and utilities.

Work closely with site managers and other trades to ensure work is carried out efficiently and on time.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Assist with site preparation and clean-up as needed.

Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Complete daily reports on progress and site issues.

Proven experience in all aspects of groundworks.

A valid CSCS card is essential.

Ability to use a variety of groundworks tools and machinery.

Strong understanding of construction site practices, procedures, and regulations.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

A proactive and problem-solving attitude.

Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.

A valid driving license is an advantage.
