Summary
Stoneferry Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 on a fixed term contract primarily working in our internal SEND provision. The purpose of the role is to provide tailored support for pupils, ensuring their full participation in learning activities. Under the guidance of the Class Teacher and SENCO, the Teaching Assistant will support the pupils learning, both individually and within group settings.
Salary: Grade 5, Point 8 £26,824 - Point 13 £29,064. Grade 6, Point 14 £29,540 - Point 19 £32,061 pro rata for 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm term time only (39 weeks per year). This is a temporary fixed term appointment for 18 months.
The Teaching Assistant will offer support to pupils, assisting with learning tasks and ensuring their needs are met. They will also work collaboratively with the class teacher to enhance the overall learning environment and address the learning needs of the class.
Intervention programmes recommended by the SENCO, class teacher, or external agencies will be implemented by the Teaching Assistant. Additionally, they will provide emotional, behavioural, and social support to the child, fostering positive relationships with peers.
The Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to develop and review effective intervention plans.
