Summary
Classroom Cover Supervisor (including some music teaching)
1 year contract in the first instance
Term time only – Monday – Friday, 35 hours a week, 8.30am - 4.30pm
38 weeks plus 3 inset days
LCC pay grade 5 point 11-14
Actual pro rata salary range £22748 - £25235 depending on length of service with LCC

You will be teaching whole classes across the school from Nursery to Year 6 when the class teacher is away.
The successful candidate will:
• Commit to high standards of teaching and learning.
• Commit to inclusion and success for all pupils.
• Have relevant qualifications including GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
• Have experience in playing a musical instrument and the ability to read music. This would be an advantage.
• Having a music related qualification would be also be an advantage (i.e. Music Diploma, Instrumental grade, Music degree.)
• Have excellent behaviour management skills.
• Have energy, motivation and a good sense of humour.
• Manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment.
• Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.
• Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures.
• Collect completed work after the lesson, mark and pass to the appropriate teacher.
• Report, as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures, on the behaviour of pupils during the class and on any problems arising.
• Be provided with 4 hours a week of allocated planning, preparation and assessment time (outside of the school day) and 1 hour a week to attend staff meetings
