Summary
Reporting to the Practice Business Manager / Clinical Partner. Flu vaccination planning and co-ordination, ensuring that vaccines have been ordered for the practice and the federation. Consulting with the pharmacy representatives and Swindon practices. Work alongside the practice team in planning the flu/covid vaccination clinics for both spring and winter vaccinations. Annual submissions for the IT toolkit. Working with our IT lead to ensure that the submission is reviewed and completed in a timely manner and any requirements to be implemented in the surgery are fed back at weekly ops meetings. Patient communications, ensuring patients are kept updated on a regular basis via our Facebook page/Website/Practice screens. This will include regular statistics as well as promotional information. Complaints management, responding to patient complaints as per the practice policy and procedure. Investigating complaints and feeding back, if necessary, in the form of learning events at practice meetings. Attend practice meetings as required. Creating minutes from meetings for distribution. Health and Safety. Ensuring that the practice is compliant with H&S, including gas safety, PAT testing, EICR. Infection prevention and Control. Ensuring that the practice is compliant with IPC, ensuring that annual inspections are completed and training is completed as necessary for all staff. Training. Ensuring that all training required has been arranged and undertaken by staff, completed training to be updated on the surgery matrix. Nurse appointments. Ensuring that the nurses clinics are correct, amending as required. Adding nurse clinics to the appointment system on a weekly basis, ensuring that nurses are marked as required for meetings and training. Arranging interpreters, specifically for patients with additional needs. Updating/creating practice policies and procedures, practice protocols and other practice documentation as required. This role may also involve cover for the Practice Manager during times of absence, therefore strict adherence to confidentiality will be expected.
