The Role – Assistant Design Coordinator
The company is seeking an Assistant Design Coordinator to support the delivery of design information across both pre‑construction and live projects. This role is ideal for someone with a technical background—such as an Architectural Technician, Junior Design Coordinator, or similar—who is ready to take the next step.
Key Responsibilities
Support the coordination of design information from concept through to detailed design
Assist in managing information flow between consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
Help produce cost‑effective design solutions aligned with programme and construction deadlines
Contribute to value engineering exercises to improve buildability and client outcomes
Assist in preparing design programmes and information release schedules
Attend design team meetings and gain exposure to site‑based coordination
Support projects across sectors including education, commercial, leisure, retail, distribution and healthcare
Essential Qualifications
HNC/HND/BA/BSc in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Architecture, Design or a related field
Requirements
Some experience in a design‑related or technical construction role
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Strong organisational and communication skills
UK driving licence
