Summary
We are looking for a motivated, skilled, autonomous Practitioner to work as a core member of the multidisciplinary team in BHOC SDEC, to deliver high quality care to patients. You will possess the skills, competence, expertise and clinical decision making abilities required to triage, plan, co-ordinate, prescribe and deliver treatment for patients requiring urgent care, following complications of oncological/ haematological diagnoses, or for those patients who are post SACT therapy, stem cell transplant or cellular therapy treatment. Supporting patients to stay at home is a key component of this role.
This role will be based in the SDEC at BHOC and cover the core hours of Monday – Friday 9-5pm, although flexible working to also include some weekends, early starts and late finishes will be considered.
You will provide clinical decision making and patient reviews to support triage and assessment of patients self referring to the unit via the BHOC SDEC helpline and attending the unit with urgent care issues relating to malignant and haematological treatments and diagnoses. A key component of this role is hospital avoidance and safety netting along with delivery of acute management of complications of treatments.
