Location: Midland Metro Ltd, Wednesbury Depot, Potters Lane, WS10 0AR
Salary: £44,262 per annum (including on-call rota)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Core hours 07:00 - 15:00, with occasional night work

Now, we're looking for a Permanent Way Supervisor to lead and inspire our infrastructure team.

About the Role

As a Permanent Way Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our track infrastructure.

Working closely with the Team Leader, you'll oversee maintenance and repair activities, manage priorities, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising maintenance and repair work on the West Midlands Metro permanent way.

- Conducting inspections and ensuring quality standards are met.

- Deputising for the Team Leader when required.

- Reviewing and maintaining Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) documentation.

- Supporting project planning, installations, and commissioning of new systems.

- Driving a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

- Managing contractors and prioritising work using a risk-based approach.

What We're Looking For

- Level 3 qualification in permanent way and track maintenance (or equivalent).

- Management qualification (ILM Level 3 or equivalent).

- Experience in leading teams within a safety-critical environment.

- Strong communication and organisational skills.

- Full UK driving licence.
