Summary

Millfield School is seeking an experienced Personal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the Finance Director (Bursar). This is a pivotal role requiring exceptional organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage complex priorities in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
As the PA to the Finance Director, you will act as a trusted partner, ensuring the smooth running of the office and enabling the Finance Director to focus on key decision-making. Your responsibilities will include:
• Diary & Time Management: Overseeing complex calendars, prioritising meetings, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Communication: Acting as a professional gatekeeper for all correspondence, managing emails and calls with tact and confidentiality.
• Project Support: Preparing board packs, tracking actions, and coordinating high-level projects.
• Travel Logistics: Organising national and international travel arrangements.
• Subject Access Requests: Managing the full process, including data collation, liaising with IT and advisors, and producing final submissions. Previous experience in handling subject access requests would be highly advantageous.
• Strategic Support: Anticipating needs, solving problems, and contributing to efficient decision-making.

About You:
We are looking for a resilient, calm, and adaptable PA with proven experience supporting senior executives. You will have:
• Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• High attention to detail and discretion.
• Strong IT skills and confidence in handling confidential information.

Working Hours & Salary:
This is a year-round role, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5pm. It offers a competitive salary of up to £45,098 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus an extensive range of staff benefits.
