Summary

Surveyor – Major Fire Projects

London Bridge

Up to £50,000

Are you a Surveyor who enjoys seeing a project through from start to finish — and wants to spend less time on day-to-day reactive work and more time delivering meaningful, high-impact programmes?

At Hyde, we’re looking for a project-focused Surveyor to join our Major Fire Projects team. This is an excellent opportunity to transition into a role that is firmly programme- and delivery-led, where you’ll manage large-scale fire safety projects that genuinely improve the safety of our customers’ homes.

You’ll be trusted with end-to-end responsibility for major fire safety works across our housing portfolio, working collaboratively with contractors, consultants, internal teams and residents to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and efficiently.

What you’ll be doing

Leading major fire safety projects from feasibility and planning through to delivery and handover
Managing programmes, budgets, risk and compliance, ensuring works are completed on time and to the highest standards
Acting as the client lead, coordinating contractors and professional consultants
Engaging with residents in a clear, considerate and professional way throughout project delivery
Supporting funding applications and reporting, providing robust technical and financial information
This role is ideal for you if…

You’re a Building or Fire Safety Surveyor looking to move into a more project-based role
You enjoy managing programmes rather than carrying out purely reactive or inspection-led work
You’re confident overseeing contractors and driving performance on site
You’re passionate about building safety, compliance and quality outcomes
What we’re looking for

Experience delivering construction or fire safety projects from inception to completion
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
The ability to manage budgets, programmes and compliance effectively
A proactive, organised approach with a focus on continuous improvement
Why Hyde?
