- Computer literacy as you will be required to work with a computer on occasion.

About Us

Jane Austen College opened in 2014 as a flagship free school of the Inspiration Trust, with a focus on English and Humanities. Since then, it has grown from serving just two year groups to become a full 1118 school of over 1,100 students.

In May 2024 the college was rated Outstanding by Ofsted in all inspection areas, including leadership, behaviour and sixth form provision. Inspectors noted that students benefit from “exceptional academic education, excellent pastoral support and a character curriculum building life skills to see them succeed in progressing to some of the top universities in the country and into prosperous careers.”

The college prides itself on ensuring that all students - regardless of background or disadvantage - have access to powerful knowledge and transformative extracurricular experiences, as well as strong mental health and wellbeing support.

Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is a highly successful maths and science specialist sixth form for students aged 16-19, located in the heart of Norwich. Ranked sixth nationally in the Sunday Times Parent Power guide, the school has been judged Outstanding by Ofsted in all areas.

We are proud of our vibrant and supportive staff community, where satisfaction and retention are exceptionally high. In January 2025, Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form was recognised with a Staff Choice Award by Edurio, placing us in the top 10 schools nationally as a recommended place to work.

Joining our team means being part of a forward-thinking, ambitious environment where your expertise is valued, your professional development is supported, and you have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people aiming for excellence in STEM and beyond.

Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is rated Outstanding, following Ofsted inspections in 2018 and 2023. Inspectors noted: "The ambitious and inclusive vision of senior leaders, governors, and trust members has resulted in an outstanding educational experience for students. They thrive because of the very high quality of education that they receive."

We are part of the Inspiration Trust, twice ranked as the country’s top family of comprehensive schools for pupil progress, and strongly believe in the importance of giving the widest educational opportunities to all young people, regardless of their background. We have strong networks across the Trust, with opportunities to work with a diverse range of schools and partners. We are committed to offering excellent professional and learning opportunities for our staff, with a busy programme of continuing professional development courses delivered by some of the country’s best educational thinkers and practitioners.

The Inspiration Trust is a Multi Academy Trust, committed to delivering the very best educational experience for the young people of Norfolk and Suffolk, across 17 schools. We are ambitious for our schools and communities and want to create Britain’s highest performing federation of 3-19 schools and transform education in the East. Inspiration Trust specialises in transforming schools in disadvantaged areas and taking academies from failing to outstanding.
