Job Description
We are seeking a kind, patient, and experienced Personal Assistant/Carer to support a child with epilepsy and complex Special Educational Needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care and a genuine passion for helping children with additional needs live safely and comfortably.
Contract Type
Part Time
Permanent
Roles and Responsibilities
Assisting with feeding and meal preparation
Supporting with personal care, including showering and dressing
Administering medications as required (training can be provided)
Ensuring a safe environment and being alert to seizure activity
Providing emotional support and encouragement throughout the day
Assisting with routine daily activities in the home and community
Specific Requirements
Experience caring for children with epilepsy and complex SEN
Calm and reliable, with good observational skills
Comfortable with personal care and handling medical needs
Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain one)
References from previous care roles
Ability to work independently and follow specific care routines
First Aid training
Epilepsy awareness training
Car driver with access to a vehicle
