Summary
Job PurposeTo provide high-quality phlebotomy services to patients, ensuring safe and accurate blood collection in line with clinical protocols and infection control standards. Key Responsibilities Perform venepuncture and collect blood samples from patients in a professional and reassuring manner. Accurately label, record, and handle specimens to maintain integrity and traceability. Follow strict infection control and health & safety procedures at all times. Maintain equipment and ensure the phlebotomy area is clean and well-organized. Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to support smooth clinical operations. Assist with administrative tasks related to sample tracking and patient records. Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in phlebotomy or completion of accredited training. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care. Desirable Knowledge of electronic health record systems. Familiarity with NHS protocols and standards. Experience with SystmOne
