Summary
Essential Requirements
-Experience working with vulnerable people or individuals with complex needs
-Experience in housing management, lettings, arrears, or anti-social behaviour management
-Confident communication and interpersonal skills
-Strong time management and ability to prioritise workload independently
-Efficient and accurate record keeping and data entry
-Understanding of factors contributing to homelessness and experience supporting positive change
-Enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo check

The Role
This service provides short-term supported accommodation for people experiencing homelessness and complex needs. The Housing Management Assistant will support the service by ensuring residents feel welcome and safe, while maintaining high standards across the accommodation. Key responsibilities include:
-Assisting residents with housing benefit claims, tenancy/licence agreements, and move-in processes
-Addressing behaviours to prevent evictions using a trauma-informed approach
-Carrying out housing management duties including room preparation, inspections, welfare checks, and reporting repairs
-Managing referrals, assessments, and liaising with local authorities to ensure efficient use of voids
-Supporting residents to understand their rights and responsibilities to prepare for independent living
-Maintaining accurate records, databases, and reports
-Providing administrative and concierge support, including handling out-of-hours requests
-Participating in multi-agency meetings and ongoing training
