Summary

Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant which is being offered on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract basis to ensure continuity of key responsibilities during a defined period of organisational change.

The Accounts Payable Assistant will play a key role in supporting our team during this important period helping us with invoice processing, working through any blocked, parked or unresolved items. You will work in a team of 3 alongside the Accounts Payable Manager and another Accounts Payable Assistant driving the business forward.

As an Accounts Payable Assistant you will be responsible for :

- Ensuring invoices received for payment are logged, approved and checked for accuracy and compliancy.
- Facilitating payment of invoices in line with payment terms and internal key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Ensuring all documentation relating to the tasks this role is accountable for is up to date and is made available to key personnel and audit when required.

The minimum criteria for this role are:

- Must have proven experience and detailed knowledge of the Accounts Payable function
- Must be able to demonstrate a strong sense of accountability
- Possess well developed analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Must have strong computer skills, especially the ability to use Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
