What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for nursery-aged children with additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to ensure the child can access learning and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to meet the child’s individual needs.
Assist with learning activities, play, and social development.
Support personal care routines where required.
Work collaboratively with staff and parents to implement strategies and monitor progress.
Essential Skills & Qualities:
Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting individual needs.
Ability to follow guidance and work as part of a team.
Desirable:
Experience working with young children, ideally in an educational setting.
Knowledge of early years development and SEND strategies.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years).
