The Role

This is a full-time position starting ASAP for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role requires someone who can navigate the curriculum with confidence, ensuring that students of all abilities You will be joining a department that values evidence-based practice and works together to reduce workload through shared resources and collective planning.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of current pedagogical trends and the GCSE curriculum.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment through effective behaviour management.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of schemes of work.
  • Set regular homework that challenges students and reinforces classroom learning.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations and internal assessments.
  • Engage with parents and guardians during parents' evenings and through regular progress updates.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral support and guidance to a designated group of students.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCO to ensure that students with additional needs are fully supported.
  • Uphold the ethos and values of the school in all professional interactions.
