Summary


We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Occupational Therapist with experience of working with children in a community, inpatient or CAMHS setting to join our dynamic Occupational Therapy team based at the Hackney Ark. You will be supported to pursue a specialism within our integrated health and social care team, driving service development and evidence-based practice within this area of practice.

The post holder will be the lead Occupational Therapist for the Looked After Children’s Team (Virtual School) at Hackney Education.

The role as lead OT for LAC will involve ensuring that best practice and evidence-based practice assessment and interventions are implemented within the service. The post holder will oversee OT input into the Virtual School for Looked After Children. The post holder will take the lead on Children In Care and Care Leavers. This will include intervention with individual children, setting up groups and providing specialist advice to keyworkers within the team and social care. The post holder will provide assessment and short term direct intervention for Hackney Children In Care between the ages of 0-25 regarding difficulties/challenges within educational/workplace settings.
