Full-Time | Primary Care / Urgent Care | Competitive Salary (Band 7–8a Equivalent)
Location: Warrington, Cheshire

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and clinically confident Paramedic Practitioner to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paramedic looking to advance their practice within a supportive primary care or urgent care environment.

As a Paramedic Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will carry out clinical assessments, manage minor illness and injury presentations, support urgent on-the-day demand, and contribute to safe clinical decision-making within the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide same-day assessments, diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and minor illness presentations

  • Support urgent care demand, including triage, telephone assessment, and face-to-face appointments

  • Undertake home visits when required, supporting proactive and reactive patient care

  • Work autonomously within scope of practice, including decision-making and safety-netting

  • Use advanced clinical reasoning to differentiate between urgent and non-urgent conditions

  • Support chronic disease management where appropriate

  • Contribute to clinical triage systems and appropriate allocation of patients

  • Work collaboratively with GPs, ANPs, ACPs, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative teams

  • Participate in audit, service development, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards

    About You (Essential Criteria)

    • HCPC registered Paramedic

    • Significant post-registration clinical experience

    • Confident in autonomous clinical assessment and decision-making

    • Strong minor illness/minor injury skills

    • Excellent communication, triage, and risk-management ability

    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

    • Committed to patient safety and high clinical standards

      Desirable

      • Experience working in primary care, urgent care, OOH or similar frontline settings

      • Independent Prescribing qualification (or working towards)

      • Additional training in minor injury, chronic disease, or advanced assessment skills

      • Experience with EMIS or SystmOne

        What We Offer

        • Competitive salary aligned with Band 7–8a depending on experience

        • Supportive clinical environment with ongoing development opportunities

        • Access to training, mentorship, and progression pathways

        • Friendly, collaborative team culture

        • Opportunity to shape and influence local patient care provision
