Summary

Bid Manager

​Stoke on Trent - Hybrid working

Typically working 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday

Join our Work Winning Team as a Bid Manager and take the lead in driving successful bids that secure new business opportunities. In this role, you’ll manage the entire bid process from start to finish, specialising in Construction Refurbishments within Social Housing, covering both planned and responsive repairs, as well as fast-track project refurbishments. Whether it’s small, bespoke projects or large-scale programs, you’ll enjoy autonomy, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.

We offer hybrid working (two days from home, three at our head office) and understand flexibility matters, if standard hours don’t suit, we’ll explore options. At Novus, we focus on finding the right person with the right skills

An outline of your responsibilities as a Bid Manager

Evaluate bid opportunities and identify key requirements
Gather information from operational and business teams to produce compelling bids
Research clients to create tailored proposals aligned with their needs and culture
Liaise with clients for clarifications and ensure responses reflect our customer-first approach
Maintain and update the bid information library
Manage bid timelines and milestones for on-time submissions
Write persuasive, high-quality content for PQQs and ITTs
Collaborate with operational teams to understand delivery methods
Review bid outcomes and suggest improvements for future success
Ensure compliance with the company’s bid process


About You

You’re an experienced bid professional with a proven track record in winning tenders, ideally within the construction refurbishment sector with either a specialism of social housing or project refurbishment. You thrive under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and bring:

Strong stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Commercial awareness and confidence to present findings
APMP Foundation (desirable)
