Location: Libanus, Brecon, Powys, LD3 8EN
Pay: £12.35 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 42 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Days 8:00 - 20:00
Rota: Includes every other weekend and bank holidays

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at The Mountains Care Home. This role involves working a mixture of day and night shifts and offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centred care in a calm and supportive environment.
About The Mountains
Set in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, The Mountains Care Home provides 24-hour nursing and residential care for adults aged 65+ living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and mental health needs. Our home is known for its warm atmosphere, strong teamwork, and commitment to dignity and quality care.
The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with their daily needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and wellbeing at all times. Duties include:
Providing personal care with dignity and respect
Supporting residents with meals, hydration, mobility, and daily routines
Following individual care plans and promoting independence
Offering companionship, reassurance, and emotional support
Accurately recording care provided and reporting any changes in wellbeing
Working flexibly across day and night shifts as part of a rota
What We’re Looking For
✔ NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
✔ Experience in a care setting (essential)
✔ Desirable: experience in nursing care and/or EMI environments
✔ Knowledge and experience of supporting people living with dementia
✔ Kind, patient, and professional approach
✔ Flexible to work days, alternate weekends and bank holidays
