Summary

Despatch Operator with FLT

As a key member of the Despatch Team, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently packing conveyors and spare parts to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries that meet customer requirements.

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm (30-minute lunch)
• Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

Primary Location: Stourbridge
Travel: Occasional movement between sites, as required by business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Operating FLT truck to move stock around
• Manual handling, including packing of parts and modules
• Checking parts and packing parcels
• Greeting delivery drivers and ensuring correct paperwork is completed and signed
• General data input (including geared motor sheets, packing lists, etc.)
• Ensuring packing methods meet customer and transport requirements
• Prompt packing of modules from Assembly Departments to maintain production flow
• Loading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing and distributing despatch documentation when required
• Complying with Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area
• Supporting other departments when needed
• Operating equipment such as chop saws, nail guns, banding machines, and cranes
