We are looking for 2 Facilities and Maintenance Assistants in, one in Manchester and one in Lancashire. Ideal candidates will be based in these areas and happy to travel across them.
You’ll be the go-to person for keeping our buildings running smoothly, whether that’s carrying out maintenance, decorating, or making sure safety checks are completed. Every day, you will see the impact of your work, knowing the spaces you maintain make a real difference to the people who use them.

Key Responsibilities:
• Complete general maintenance and decorating tasks – building practical skills you can use to progress in facilities management
• Carry out routine safety and compliance checks – gaining experience in health and safety that could support future career opportunities
• Perform minor repairs and report issues – helping you develop problem-solving skills and hands-on expertise
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment – learning practical skills you can use across different roles
• Undertake gardening duties – a chance to make spaces look and feel welcoming for everyone
• Act as a responsible key holder – building trust and leadership experience
• Support on-site contractors – understanding teamwork and compliance in a real-world setting

The Person
You’ll thrive if you:
• Have experience in decorating and general building maintenance.
• Live in either Lancashire or Manchester and happy to travel around them.
• Can work independently and take initiative.
• Hold a full UK driving licence for at least a year.
• Communicate well with colleagues, contractors, and the public.
• Are happy to learn new skills, including using ICT for reporting and record keeping.
