ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role as a Nursing Care Manager will be to ensure the delivery of effective nursing care to residents in a nursing home and to manage the Registered General Nurses on your team directly.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinate the resident assessment process, ensuring that the plan of care is accurate and reflected in the care needs summary, the resident is involved in identifying needs and preferences, and integration of all information into a person-centred care plan
- Ensure that all relevant information in respect of each resident is communicated using the most appropriate method, e.g. APB, Handover, MCM, to the proper members of staff to achieve delivery of a person-centred approach
- Overall responsibility for the management of the Nursing Team, introducing effective mechanisms for communication, such as team meetings, communication boards, etc. Arranging such meetings, organising agendas, attendance, outcomes, actions, minutes
- Support, guide and develop their team members by carrying out regular supervisions/one-to-ones and yearly reviews and support individual performance management plans for identified staff.
ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate must:
- Hold a Registered Nurse qualification.
Have 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience, with evidence of ongoing professional development in elderly care or a relevant field.
Possess previous management experience and a comprehensive understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards.
Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to manage interpersonal relationships, including effective influencing skills
