Job Summary:
We are a busy and well established town centre pub and hotel with 17 bedrooms offering great food, a vibrant bar atmosphere and comfortable accommodation.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support our General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business. This is a hands on role overseeing all operations including the hotel, bar and restaurant. Your working day will vary but one day you could be helping with social media and menu development, the next serving customers on the bar and taking orders in the restaurant.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards, driving sales, motivating staff and ensuring excellent guest experience across the entire venue.
For the right person we can offer set shifts and we are happy to be flexible and work around childcare commitments.

Responsibilities:
Support the General Manager in the overall management of the pub, restaurant and hotel.
Take responsibility of the venue in the General Managers absence.
Oversee daily operations of the venue.
Lead, train and motivate the team across the building.
Ensure consistently high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation.
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a personal and professional manner.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
Assist with rotas, invoicing, social media, stock controlling and cashing up.
Support sales growth, promotions and events in a busy town centre environment.

About you:
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality environment is essential and non-negotiable.
Confidence in managing busy shifts and multiple departments.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Great communicational skills.
Customer service skills are a must - they are the driving factor of our business!
Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as being able to work on your own.

Flexibility towards evenings, weekends and early mornings. We open 365 days per year so the peak times (Easter, Valentines, Bank Holidays and Christmas) are our busiest days - you must be able to work some of these.
A passion for hospitality - delivering great experiences and building those relationships that see customers coming back time and time again!

What we are offering:
We are offering a permanent and set hours contract with the option to pick more hours up if required. You will be working 35 hours over either four or five days (personal preference).
28 days holiday pay comes as standard and you will be paid weekly!
We also offer free meals on shifts to our staff and many other benefits that will be discussed at interview.
We are still growing as a business so there is room to develop and grow further in the future.
Full system software training around the tills and hotel reservation software will be given as well any other training requirements such as a personal licence, first aid course etc.
