Location: The Hive Cafe, Croxley Park, Watford

Salary: £13.50 per hour 30 hours per week Mon - Fri

Flexible working times, 6 hours per day 8:30am to 15.00pm or 9:00am to 15.30pm

Smiley, happy, friendly, willing & keen individual required for our busy Cafe in Watford with a can do attitude who will just get on and do any task within the kitchen environment including mechanical washing up, cleaning duties, as the salad chef you will be responsible for assisting the Cafe chef in maintaining high quality food preparation & presentation, taking ownership of your section, communicate effectively with the team, adhere to all food safety & hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in your assigned section and throughout the kitchen.

Job Description

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance at all times

Kitchen organisation & management

Culinary techniques

Ability to contribute to menu development, offering creative ideas for new dishes & presentation

Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities & demands



Qualifications

GCSE level education or above

NVQ qualification of equivalent

Good craft skill background

Successful progressive background in catering

Ability to display a real passion for food & customer service

Effective verbal & written communication skills

Excellent organisational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high standards
