Summary

We're looking for a Traffic Engineer to join our Highways Northamptonshire team in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. In this role, you'll work within our Traffic Engineering team, to deliver innovative traffic engineering schemes for North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council.

Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire - travel to the office required with some remote working available

Hours: Permanent, Fulltime 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

As a Traffic Engineer, you'll design practical solutions to traffic engineering and road safety challenges. You'll manage scheme delivery and work on multiple projects simultaneously

Your day to day will include:

-Planning, developing and implementing traffic engineering schemes to specification, budget and agreed targets while liaising with project teams and clients

-Producing detailed AutoCad drawings

-Preparing Bills of Quantities, Inspection and Test Plans and Pre Construction information

-Delivering technical designs with minimal supervision in line with approved design procedures and systems



What are we looking for?

This role of Traffic Engineer is ideal if you:

-Hold a HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering with experience in traffic engineering and highway design

-Understand traffic/highway design principles and can produce drawings in AutoCAD, plus use of Keysign, Keyline and AutoTrack software

-Have a solid working knowledge of Health & Safety including CDM 2015
