After School Club Assistant

Infant School – Northfield
Start Date: February 2026
⏰ Part-Time | Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–5:15pm

Do you love working with young children and helping them learn, play, and grow in a safe and nurturing environment? A welcoming Infant School in Northfield is looking for a caring and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to join its friendly, close-knit team.

About the Role

You will be working with children aged 4–8, supporting them during after-school sessions by:

  • Supervising pupils in a safe, happy, and stimulating environment


  • Encouraging positive behaviour, kindness, and social interaction


  • Supporting play-based activities and active learning


  • Promoting children’s wellbeing and emotional development


  • Ensuring health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times


    ✅ The Ideal Candidate

    This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in an infant or primary school, or in roles such as Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Early Years Practitioner, or Cover Supervisor.

    You’ll be perfect for the role if you are:

    • Experienced working with children (6 months+ in a UK school setting)


    • Passionate about early years and child development


    • Patient, nurturing, and caring by nature


    • Adaptable and confident in a busy school environment


    • Committed, reliable, and resilient
