£105-£115 per day
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term (Full Academic Year)
Long Term Futures is seeking a proactive and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Reception team in a primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. This role focuses on whole-class support, with a strong emphasis on behaviour management and targeted early interventions, making it ideal for someone confident working in a busy EYFS environment.
Some experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or social communication needs would be beneficial, though the school is keen to meet candidates with strong Early Years practice and a positive, consistent approach.
About the Role
Working closely with the Reception class teacher and EYFS lead, you will:
- Support the whole class during lessons, playbased learning, and transitions.
- Help manage behaviour using calm, consistent, and nurturing strategies.
- Deliver small group and individual interventions focused on communication, attention, and early learning skills.
- Support children with emerging additional needs, including early indicators of ASD.
- Assist with phonics, early literacy, early maths, and fine motor activities.
- Prepare learning resources and contribute to a safe, engaging classroom environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working in Reception or EYFS is highly desirable.
- Confident supporting behaviour and emotional regulation in young children.
- Some experience with ASD or SEN is beneficial but not essential.
- Calm, patient, and proactive, with a genuine passion for Early Years education.
- Able to work collaboratively and take initiative within the classroom.
Why Work with Long Term Futures?
- Longterm placements offering stability and development.
- Weekly pay via our straightforward digital system.
- Free CPD, including EYFS strategies, behaviour management, and SEN awareness.
- Dedicated consultant providing ongoing guidance and support.
